Who is Magnolia Teaching and Learning?

I am a teacher, not a tutor. I earned a Master in Teaching from UW Seattle and hold a current Washington State Teaching Certificate. I have extensive training in best practices for math instruction and Common Core standards. This allows me to reteach material using alternate methods and strategies, provide guided practice with one-on-one teacher support, and follow-up with consistent review to ensure students retain their math learning.

I am excited to offer 1-on-1 math instruction based on your child's needs, interests, and learning style. After assessing your student, I will identify the Common Core math learning targets for our work together. I can then reteach and review material, in a way that supports your child's learning style.
I support the whole student. I have 10 years experience supporting students with disabilities, including 504s and IEPs. I have specialized training for working with ELL/MLL students. I have delivered Social/Emotional Learning curriculum and deliver trauma informed practices.
